Catherine McAuley Giving Circle Launches in Coordination with the Campaign

DES MOINES, IA – Mercy Foundation is pleased to kick off its 2017 Spirit of Mercy Campaign today. The Campaign supports Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines and its various Mission Affiliates – including Mercy College of Health Sciences, House of Mercy, Mercy Hospice, Mercy Children’s Hospital and Clinics and Mercy Cancer Center – that serve 36,046 clients and patients annually.

The 2017 Spirit of Mercy Campaign Goal is $860,000. In addition to supporting Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines, funds are also raised for United Way and Variety – The Children’s Charity.

“Mercy Medical Center Des Moines has a deep heritage of serving the community with exceptional care,” said Mercy Des Moines Interim President Mike Wegner.

“The Spirit of Mercy Campaign raises money to provide vital funding that ensures high-quality care for all in Greater Des Moines.”

In coordination with the launch of the Spirit of Mercy Campaign, Mercy Foundation has launched the Catherine McAuley Giving Circle. Honoring the legacy of Sisters of Mercy founder Mother Catherine McAuley and her mission to serve the most vulnerable, members in this Giving Circle help ensure access to exceptional health care for all in Greater Des Moines through Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines.
