The campaign provides vital funding to provide remarkable care for all in Des Moines community – a hallmark of Mercy’s legacy. In addition to supporting Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines, funds were also raised for United Way and Variety – The Children’s Charity.

“We are very pleased with the results of the Spirit of Mercy campaign,” said Mercy Foundation President Shannon Cofield.

“We are grateful for the leadership of our co-chairs, Mercy’s Interim Chief Physician Officer Charles F. Keller, M.D. and Mercy’s Interim Chief Nursing Officer, Kathy Goetz. They helped affirm Mercy’s culture of philanthropy in our community and among our more than 7,000 employee colleagues.”
