Gilead Circle

Mercy Foundation is pleased to announce the 2018 Gilead Circle inductees: Norkaitis Family Charities and Prairie Meadows. In October, the two organizations will be honored as benefactors who have transformed Mercy Medical Center through their lifetime giving of more than $500,000. They will be presented with the Gilead Medallion, representing the Mercy tenets of care and healing, and honoring the mission of our founding Sisters.

Norkaitis Family Charities has been instrumental in transforming Mercy over the past 26 years through its gifts to Mercy College to establish the Josephine Norkaitis Student Success Center and support various scholarship funds. In addition, the organization has also supported House of Mercy’s programming, which serves our community’s most vulnerable individuals.

Prairie Meadows’ philanthropic impact began 17 years ago, and since then, the organization has contributed to multiple service lines and Mission Affiliates at Mercy, most recently House of Mercy’s new Mental Health Center, Mercy Children’s Hospital & Clinics’ new Teddy Bear Clinic and Mercy College of Health Science’s new Simulator.
