Ways to give
Cash gifts are a convenient and easy way to give to Mercy and are typically deductible for people who itemize their taxes.

Gifts in kind are important ways of benefiting Mercy Foundation and may include property (other than cash and marketable securities, such as real estate), works of art, event supplies and rentals, equipment, furnishings, products, professional work, etc.
The IRS requires the donor to determine the fair market value of the gift for individual, foundation, or corporate tax reporting purposes. The Foundation will issue a gift in kind receipt with a description of the donated property and will recognize the donor for the value of the gift without referencing or receipting a specific dollar amount.
Regardless of age, understanding and preparing your estate is an integral part of securing your future. Mercy's gift planner partners with you to identify and consider your resources as you work with tax and financial advisers to plan for the future.
Estate giving options include will bequests, life insurance, retirement plan assets, real estate, charitable trusts, and charitable gift annuities. These options offer different income and tax advantages helping you take care of yourself, your loved ones, and Mercy. Spirit of Mercy
Gifts of marketable stocks or mutual fund shares that have increased in value can have an immediate impact on Mercy's initiatives and create an income tax deduction for you based on the assets' current value.
Honor someone with your gift
Mercy Medical Center health care providers seek to give exceptional care to all patients, and if you received exemplary care, we'd like to know. Tell us if you had an experience with a care giver who went above and beyond to make you comfortable, offer a word of encouragement, or calm your fears. We will present your caregiver with a copy of your note and an Angel of Mercy pin.
You may also consider making a gift in honor of your care giver. Gifts of all sizes enable us to provide care for the underserved, seek solutions to health problems, and give all patients access to advanced technology.
When a family member or friend has been touched by the medical care at Mercy, consider honoring him or her by making a memorial gift through the Foundation. Your gift may be designated to the program of your choice and will be used to serve those who come to Mercy in need of care.
